The ICAR-CIRC Library is a specialised scientific library established to support research, education and information needs of scientists, researchers and students. It houses an extensive collection of books, journals, reports and digital resources covering cattle sciences, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, genetics, nutrition and related disciplines.
The library provides access to national and international databases, e-journals and online resources through the ICAR e-Library consortium, enabling researchers to stay updated with the latest developments in cattle science globally.
Over 5,000 titles covering genetics, animal nutrition, veterinary sciences, animal breeding, physiology, reproduction and general agriculture. Both Hindi and English language books are available.
Subscriptions to leading national journals including Indian Journal of Animal Sciences, Indian Veterinary Journal, Animal Nutrition & Feed Technology and international periodicals.
Access to e-journals, e-books and databases through the ICAR National Agricultural Research System (NARS) e-Library. Resources include CAB Abstracts, Web of Science and ScienceDirect.
Collection of M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses submitted by students who conducted research at the institute, along with annual reports, project reports and technical bulletins.
Copies of BIS standards, ICAR technical bulletins, technology packages, patent documents and government publications relevant to cattle research.
Photocopying, scanning and printing services available for library members. Inter-library loan facility available through ICAR network libraries.
