How to File an RTI Application

Online Application

Visit the RTI Online Portal (rtionline.gov.in) and file your application. Application fee of ₹10/- can be paid online via net banking, debit/credit card or UPI.

By Post / In Person

Send a written application in Hindi or English to the CPIO, ICAR-CIRC, Meerut Cantonment, Meerut – 250 001 with application fee of ₹10/- (IPO / DD in favour of "ICAR Unit CIRC, Meerut").

Response Timeline

CPIO must respond within 30 days (48 hours if information concerns life or liberty). If refused or no reply, file a First Appeal to FAA within 30 days.

Second Appeal / Complaint

If unsatisfied with FAA decision, file a Second Appeal before the Central Information Commission (CIC) within 90 days of FAA's order.
